Welcome to Khmer Silk Villages

Khmer Silk Villages (KSV) is an association created in late 2005. Emerging from a gathering of seri-farmers and weavers, KSV was established after completion of PASS (Projet d’Appui au Secteur de la Soie). The association has 1500 members. 700 breeders are from the Northwest and 800 weavers are from South areas.

Our vision is to improve livelihood of rural poor producers through skills development and trade. We provide profound technical knowledge in production and strengthen producer skills to enhance production capacity to compete in the real world market. Through trade, a better life for rural poor is enhanced. KSV has developed a product design based on creative participation from producers in the communities.

KSV receives current support from multi-donor projects such as International Trade Center and European Union in the framework of ECOSORN (Economic and Social Relaunch of the Northwest Provinces in Cambodia). The association continues its mission to enhance skills and improve production of breeders and weavers through skills training to market links of community products.
